Dr Beth Carroll is a lecturer in English and Film; her two-year contract has been funded by the AHRC grant Calling the Shots: Women and Contemporary Film Culture in the UK, 2000-2015.
Beth has a BA and MA in Film Studies from the University of Southampton. Her doctoral thesis in Film Studies was completed at the University of Southampton in 2015 and in that year she joined the English and Film departments as a Lecturer in Film and Literature. She teaches on the modules Women and Hollywood; Film Adaptation; Fantasy, Fiction and Film; Stage and Screen; and American Cinema Since 1965.
