Laura Hasting-Smith produced BAFTA award winning X+Y (2015), Mindhorn (2017), Macbeth (2015), Top Boy (2013), Chatroom (2010) and Hunger (2008).

Hastings-Smith was a mentee of the Guiding Light’s mentoring programme, funded by Creative Skillset to support upcoming filmmakers and professionals through high-level mentoring over a nine-month period. Originally a painter, Hastings-Smith gradually moved towards filmmaking, teaching the craft for a couple of years in Sydney, Australia while also working as an artist-in-residence at a hospital. It was in Sydney that Hastings-Smith fell in love with cinema, returning to the UK determined to enter the film industry. Named Producer on the Move in 2008, Hastings-Smith has gone on to produce impressive and award-winning projects.
